Four rescued from car after crash at Dalton

TWO teenagers were taken to hospital after emergency services rescued four people from a crashed car.

Firefighters and police were called to a blue Peugeot 207 at Hill Top Lane, Dalton, at 10.10am yesterday (Tuesday).

A police spokeswoman said: “We worked closely on scene with South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue and Yorkshire Ambulance Service to get the driver and three passengers from the vehicle.”

The force said two women aged 18 were injured. One was taken to Sheffield’s Northern General with serious injuries, while the other went to Rotherham Hospital with apparently minor injuries.
