Four more Covid-related deaths and three patients in critical care

FOUR more people have died after testing positive for Covid-19 and three patients are in critical care in Rotherham Hospital.  

As of this morning, there were 16 inpatients in Rotherham Hospital who had tested positive for Covid-19.

The latest deaths bring the total of Covid-positive patients who have died at the hospital since the start of the pandemic to 713.

The total number of inpatients who have tested positive since Covid-19 began is now 3,544. 

In the last seven days, 961 people have tested positive across the borough — a fall of 98 people. 

More than 84 per cent of the population aged over 12 have had their first dose, more than three quarters (77.8 per cent) have had their second, and 43.7 per cent have received a booster jab.
