FOUR people were taken to hospital - of whom one was later arrested - following a collision in East Dene during the early hours of this morning which left a car on its side.
Fire crews from Rotherham and Aston stations were called to the incident on Doncaster Road at 1.15am today and were at the scene for two-and-a-half hours.
Police were also called to the scene after it was reported that a car was in a collision with a parked vehicle and a wall.
Four people were taken to hospital, said a police spokeswoman - but the nature of their injuries has not been released.
She added that one individual, the driver, had been detained by officers on suspicion of being over the prescribed limit of alcohol and remained in police custody this morning.
