Four crews tackle Goldthorpe house fire this morning

THREE people have been treated for smoke inhalation after a fire broke out at a Dearne Valley House this morning (Wednesday).

Four fire engines attended the blaze on Frederick Street, Goldthorpe, at 5.20am.

Three people were treated for smoke inhalation and are believed to have been taken to hospital as a precaution, said a South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue spokeswoman.

The fire was out by 6am, she added, and at least one crew remained at the site this morning.

No-one was injured and the cause of the fire is not yet known.
