Four arson attacks on cars and vans

FOUR vehicles were deliberately set alight in arson attacks over the weekend.

Firefighters from Rotherham station were called to a deliberate car fire on Town Lane, Wingfield, at 3.05am yesterday.

They left the scene at 3.50am, a spokesperson for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said.

A crew from Dearne station was called to van fire on Furlong Road, Harlington, at 12.30am yesterday, which had also been started deliberately, added the spokesperson.

The crew left the scene at 1.20am.

Firefighters from Rotherham station were called to a car which was deliberately set alight on Biscay Way, Wath, at 10.10pm on Saturday, and left the scene at 11.05pm, the spokesperson said.

A crew from Tankersley station was called to Town Lane, Wingfield, at 10.20pm on Friday, where a Transit van had been deliberately set alight.
