Folk comes to Firbeck Village Hall

FOLK and roots duo Miranda Sykes and Rex Preston bring their distinctive sound to Rotherham next month.

The pair will play Firbeck Village Hall on March 18 as part of a UK tour of village hall venues.

They are also promoting their new album, The Watchmaker’s Wife, which was released on Friday, February 19.

The gig is being promoted by Nick Wilson, who brought award-winning singer-songwriter Steve Knightley from Show of Hands to Firbeck last year.

Nick said: “Miranda Sykes also often plays alongside Steve Knightley, and multi instrumentalist Phil Beer in Show of Hands whom I’d also like to bring

to Firbeck, which provides a nice intimate local venue to enjoy the talents of these excellent award winning musicians.”

Tickets are £11 each and can be booked on 01709 709406 or by email on
