Fly-tipped rubbish set alight in Dinnington

A LARGE amount of fly-tipped rubbish was set on fire in Dinnington last night.

Firefighters from Aston Park were called to Leicester Road at 8.35pm.

The crew found a large amount of fly-tipped rubbish ablaze - including tyres, old door frames and mattresses, said a spokeswoman from South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue.

"The fire was dealt with by 9.14pm and is thought to have been started deliberately," she added.
