Flashmob dance to feature in anti-domestic violence day
A flashmob in action at previous One Billion Rising event

ROTHERHAM town centre will be taken over next week as part of an international drive to raise awareness of domestic violence.

Rotherham Rise is inviting supporters to join in as their staff and volunteers sing, dance and drum in All Saints’ Square between 11am and 2.30pm on Wednesday as part of the One Billion Rising campaign.

Every year on the same date, women and children all over the world dance the same dance to the same song to show their support for OBR.

Entertainment will include singing, arts and crafts, drummers, poetry and a flashmob dance at noon, with warm-up exercises from 11.45am.

Rehearsals for the dance are being held at Springwell Gardens Community Centre.
