MORE than 100 cannabis plants were found during a police raid (pictured) in Broom following a tip-off.

The drugs warrant was executed in Oakwood Drive on Saturday by officers from the Rotherham North Neighbourhood Policing Team.

Five rooms had been completely taken over for production purposes and two men, aged 24 and 26, were arrested on suspicion of producing cannabis.

"The warrant is following intelligence gathered from the local community and our Police Community Support Officers working together," said a police spokeswoman.

South Yorkshire Police has been asked for an update on the arrests.
