Five fire engines attend shipping container blaze in Brinsworth

FIVE fire engines attended a blaze at a metal shipping container at an industrial building in Brinsworth.

Crews were called to tackle the blaze — believed to be accidental — at 8.30pm last Thursday night.

A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said: “Five fire engines attended a fire involving a diesel generator inside a metal shipping container at an industrial building on Park House Lane.

“Crews used foam and water jets to extinguish the fire. 

“They left the scene shortly before 10pm.

“The cause is believed to be accidental in nature.”
