Five arrests after knifepoint 'threats to kill' in Whiston

FIVE males have been arrested after a victim was threatened at knifepoint at an address in Whiston this morning (Wednesday).

South Yorkshire Police attended Lathe Road at about 12.45am following reports of a disturbance.

A spokeswoman for the force said: “It is reported that a number of offenders had arrived at the property and damaged a vehicle parked outside, before the victim was threatened at knifepoint inside the address.”

Three 20-year-year old men have been arrested on suspicion of affray. 

A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of threats to kill, aggravated burglary and ABH. 

And a 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of threats to kill and aggravated burglary.

“All five suspects remain in police custody at this time,” said the spokeswoman.
