First floor fire causes travel disruption on Great North Road

A fire at a first floor flat in Doncaster caused hours of traffic disruption on Friday night.

Crews were called to an incident above a jewellers on Great North Road, Woodlands, at around 7.26pm.

Parts of the road had to be closed around 8.44pm whilst the fire service damped down and ventilated the property.

The road was eventually reopened at 9.14pm once the fire damage had been scaled down.
