First ever haircut in aid of charity for seven-year-old Jasmine

LITTLE Jasmine Green braved her first ever haircut after summoning up the courage to have the chop for charity.

The seven-year-old from Swinton had long auburn hair right down to her hips.

But she opted to swap it for a stylish short bob in time for the next term.

Jasmine, who started back at Swinton Brookfield Academy on Monday, raised £125 for the Little Princess Trust, and donated 14 inches of her hair to the charity, which makes wigs for cancer paints.

Mum Debbie Hartle said the trip to the hair salon Grange Hair had been a big step for Jasmine, who has autism and ADHD.

She added: “She has lovely hair but she had got fed up with it. We didn’t want it to be just snipped off and thrown away and Jasmine liked the idea it would go to make another girl happy.

“She has been growing it from birth but now she has a bob - and she loves it.”
