Firestarters strike across district

ARSONISTS struck twice in Rotherham last night, causing damage to property.

A pile of rubbish on an allotment was torched at Highfield Park in Maltby.

A fire crew from Maltby was called to the scene at 10pm and spent an hour putting out the flames.

At 10.05pm, another crew was called to Deer Leap Drive in Thrybergh where a Skoda Fabia car had been deliberately torched.

The fire officers spent just under half an hour dealing with the incident.
