Firefighters tackle several blazes overnight

Staff from Rotherham station were called to Coach Road, Greasbrough, at around 9pm when rubbish was alight.

They left the scene around ten minutes later.

The blaze is thought to have been set deliberately.

One crew from Rotherham station attended Whitegate Walk, Wingfield, where a wheelie bin was alight.

They spent about 20 minutes at the scene — the fire is thought to have been started on purpose.

A Tankersley station crew was called to Wood Walk, Wombwell, at around 7.25pm, after a Rover car was alight.

The crew spent around half an hour at the site. The blaze was thought to have been set deliberately.

Firefighters from Dearne station attended Adwick Road, Mexborough, at around 9.30pm.

There they found a shed alight at an allotment, which was thought to have been caused by accident.
