Firefighters tackle out of control bonfire in Thrybergh

FIREFIGHTERS doused a large bonfire in Thrybergh last night (Tuesday) which had become out of control.

A crew from Rotherham station was called to Oldgate Lane at 7.15pm to tackle the flames, a spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said.

Firefighters left the scene of the accidental fire at 8.15pm, she added.
