Firefighters tackle car fire and arson strike

FIREFIGHTERS tackled a car fire and an arson strike over the weekend.

The vehicle fire broke out at around  10.55am on Saturday (7) on Nursery Road, North Anston, and a crew from Doncaster fire station attended the scene.

A fire service spokeswoman said the accidental blaze was due to an electrical fault and the crew left the scene at 11.22am.

Arsonists set fire to refuse at 8.09pm last night (Sunday) on Droppingwell Road, Kimberworth,

A crew from Rotherham station attended and left the scene at 8.55pm, added the spokeswoman.
