Firefighters rescue dog from Hoyland flat fire

FIREFIGHTERS rescued a dog from an accidental fire at a flat in Hoyland.

Three fire crews were called to Kirk View at 8pm on Friday, where they rescued the pooch and gave it oxygen, a spokesperson for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said.

They said the fire was believed to have started accidentally at the hob.

Crews left the scene at 9.30pm, added the spokesperson.
