Firefighters rescue cat stuck up tree for a week
A FOUR-legged feline was rescued from a tree by firefighters - after being stuck at the top for a week.
Taking time out from their usual duties in battling emergency fires and dealing road accidents, a crew from Dearne fire station were called out to Wentworth to assist the RSPCA with their task to rescue the cat.
Fire officials said their new four-legged friend had been stuck up a very tall tree for a whole week before they got the call to come and help.

A spokesperson added: "Well done to staff from the RSPCA and Dearne green watch who saved the day.
"We don't do many animal rescues, and in some cases we can't always help - but where we can, we will."
