Firefighters battle blaze

FIREFIGHTERS spent three hours tackling a large fire at a property in Broom yesterday evening.

Crews from Rotherham and Darnall attended the blaze on Beaconsfield Road at around 6.15pm.

Four sets of breathing equipment, along with two jets and one hose reel were used to overcome the fire.

A fire service spokeswoman said everybody inside the premises was accounted for and nobody received emergency treatment.

Crews left the incident at 9pm.
