Firefighters attend combine harvester blaze

FIREFIGHTERS were called to a combine harvester on fire at Thorpe Salvin last night (Wednesday).

Crews from Aston Park and Maltby stations attended Ladyfield Road at 10.25pm.

They were there for an hour and the incident was recorded as accidental.

Another vehicle fire overnight saw a Vauxhall Astra deliberately set alight at Parkgate Shopping shortly before 2.30am.

There was also a deliberate car fire on Marrion Road in Rawmarsh at 2.40am. Dearne station firefighters were there for half an hour.
