Firebugs torch garage

A GARAGE fire in Dinnington in the early hours of Saturday is believed to be arson.

Engines from Aston Park and Maltby were called to Silverdales at about 12.40am.

The garage was well alight when they arrived, and they spent about 45 minutes at the scene.

Elsewhere, firefighters were called to a car fire at First Avenue, East Dene, shortly after 5.20pm on Saturday.

And an appliance from Rotherham station was called to Thornton Terrace, Meadowbank, at 3pm on Saturday.

They spent about 15 minutes putting out a small fire in a bedroom, which was started accidentally.
