Fire outside Kimberworth shop

AN AIR conditioning unit caught fire outside a shop in Kimberworth yesterday (Sunday).

Firefighters from Rotherham, Elm Lane and Tankersley stations attended St John’s Green shortly after 9am.

A fire service spokesman said the external unit had caught fire. The blaze had not spread inside but there was light smoke logging, he added.
