Fire in wheat field in Adwick

FIREFIGHTERS have been using beaters to tackle a fire in a wheat field in Adwick.

A crew from Dearne station was called to land near Sticking Lane at 8.50pm on Monday, a spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said.

Firefighters returned at around 5pm yesterday (Tuesday) to tackle more flames.
