Fire in Goldthorpe salon was started deliberately

Firefighters from Dearne, Adwick and Edlington were called to reports of a building fire on Barnsley Road at 4.29am, a spokesman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said.

They found an extractor fan unit on fire and used a hose reel to put out the flames, he added.

Crews left the scene at 5.33am and an investigation found the fire was started deliberately.
