Fire in derelict building in Moorgate

A FIRE at a derelict building in Moorgate last night (Sunday) was started deliberately.

Firefighters from Parkway station were called to the building on Alma Road at 10.20pm and tackled the deliberate fire for 20 minutes, a spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said.

It is believed that a small amount of rubbish was set alight, she added.
