Fire in commercial unit on Hellaby industrial estate

Engines from Aston, Rotherham, Parkway and Doncaster stations attended Hellaby Lane just after 2am.

They were at the scene for over three hours.

A South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue spokesperson said: “The cause of the fire is not known.”

Also on Saturday, there was an accidental vehicle fire at Parkgate Shopping just before 3pm and a shed fire on Barnsley Road, Goldthorpe, at 9.15pm.

And Rotherham firefighters were called to a deliberate rubbish blaze at 4.15am today on Dodds Close, Templeborough.
