Fire crews help injured water skier at Rother Valley Country Park

AN INJURED water skier was helped out of the water by firefighters at Rother Valley Country Park.

Two fire crews from Aston and Birley Moor stations were called to the country park on Mansfield Road at just after 3pm on Saturday. 

A man was in the water having injured his leg while skiing, said a spokeswoman from South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue.  

"Firefighters helped the man out of the water and ambulance crews took him to hospital," she added. 

Crews left the scene at just before 4pm.
