Fire crews called to rubbish and fence fires

FIRE crews tackled two fires overnight — one accidental and another thought to be deliberate.

At 9.30pm, firefighters from Rotherham station were called to Elm Grove, Greasbrough, where refuse was alight.

They spent half an hour putting out the blaze, which is thought to have been set deliberately.

At 12.10am, Rotherham station fire officers were called to a fence fire on Oakes Avenue, Rawmarsh.

They spent half an hour tackling the blaze, which was started accidentally.
