Fire crews called to flat on fire in Swallownest

FIREFIGHTERS fought for almost two hours to beat a fire at a Swallownest flat.

Three fire crews from Aston, Parkway and Birley Moor stations attended a flat fire at 4.10am on Alderson Close, Swallownest.

The fire is believed to have started deliberately.

The crews came away at 6.05am.

A fire crew from Aston station attended a deliberate grassland fire at 8.05pm last night on Hard Lane, Kiveton Park.

The crew left the scene at 8.40pm.

Cudworth firefighters attended an accidental grass fire at 9.15pm on Aldham Crescent, Wombwell. The crew left the scene at 10.10pm.
