Fire crews called out to Conisbrough

FIREFIGHTERS called out to an incident in Conisbrough ended up being stood down after the reported fire turned out to be controlled burning.

Crews from Rotherham, Edlington and Maltby fire stations were called out Sheffield Road at 7.05pm last night. 

A spokeswoman from South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said the reports of a potential fire turned out to be controlled burning in a yard, with fire crews leaving the scene shortly after.
