Four teams from the Rotherham and West Yorkshire offices  of Lombard, one of the UK’s leading asset funders, will put down their computers and calculators to battle it out with 19 other Lombard teams across the country in the annual ‘Battleshops’ competition run by Sense, the deafblind charity.

The team that raises the most money at the end of the day will be pronounced the winner.

Sense charity shops in Barnsley, Castleford, Skipton and Shipley will be taking part in the competition  and the Lombard teams at each will be going out of their way to attract more customers that their neighboring shops.

Initiatives to lure in customers on the day include fancy dress, Christmas songs, unusual items and an auction of signed celebrity merchandise.
