Fight breaks out at town centre pub before Rotherham United and Scunthorpe United match

A FRACAS involving Scunthorpe United "fans" prior to last Saturday’s match against Rotherham was dealt with by police.

Officers stepped in at the incident in the town centre’s Corn Law Rhymer pub at about 2pm.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman could not say how many people were involved but said it was quickly brought under control.

She said: “There was minor disturbance between fans but it was quickly dispersed by attending officers.”
