Festival offers health advice

A FREE festival will offer advice on all sorts of health-related issues.

The Dearne Valley Health Festival takes place at the Dearne Renaissance Centre, Priory Road, next Wednesday.

Running from 11am to 4pm, it will give attendees the chance to hear about stopping smoking, breastfeeding and getting exercise.

Health checks, home safety checks and holistic therapies will also be on offer.

There will also be a chance to try out treadmills, rowing machines and exercise bikes.

The session is being run by Barnsley Council — for more information, contact the Dearne Area Team on 01226 787559.
