Fancy being a guinea pig? Volunteers needed for two university studies

UNIVERSITY students are appealing for willing helpers from Rotherham to assist their research into health and politics.

A Sheffield Hallam University team led by Dr Markos Klonizakis is looking into the effects of kefir on human health and digestion and wants to recruit 24 adults to take the probiotic drink daily to see if it boosts their fitness and heart health.

Those taking part will be expected to drink kefir once a day for four weeks and attend the university for three assessment visits.

Meanwhile, students at the Lincoln Univeristy are examining how life experiences and the internet have an effect on people's political views and engagement. 

The study, “Political Activism, the internet and the impact of life experiences” include an anonymised online survey followed by an interview about your life history — you can take part in either or both.
