A WOMAN who died on the M1 was a “beloved daughter, sister and auntie”, her family has said.
Kerry Mather (39), of Rotherham, was spotted on a bridge between junctions 32 and 33 before being hit by a vehicle.
Her family said: “Kerry was a beloved daughter, sister and auntie and will be sorely missed by all.
“We would urge anyone who may have been in the area at the time to get in contact with police, any information could help.”
Sgt Mark Bradey, from South Yorkshire Police’s serious collisions unit, said: “As part of our investigation we need to establish exactly what happened in the moments leading up to Kerry’s death.
“I am appealing to anyone who was travelling in either direction between junction 31 and 33 of the M1 between 8pm and 8.15pm on Sunday to contact us.
“We are looking to speak to anyone who believes they saw Kerry prior to her death, or who has dash-cam footage of their journey along that stretch of road.
“Any information could greatly assist our enquiries."
