Family found 'living in car' by police in Bramley

POLICE found a family living in a car when dealing with two suspected thieves.

Officers were called to Morrisons supermarket in Bramley at around 2.40pm on Wednesday (6) after reports of a man and a woman shoplifting.

A spokesman said they searched the couple’s car and found a baby and a two-year-old child inside the car and that they “appeared to be living in the car”.

He added: “The adults have been dealt with for the theft and child neglect issues but the focus is to support the family.

“Children have been taken into care temporarily until the family can be stabilised.”
