Fair helps charities find their feet again

Voluntary Action Rotherham hosted the event on Monday (28) with guest speakers from the National Lottery; South Yorkshire Funding Advice Bureau and South Yorkshire Community Foundation.

Kerry McGrath, VAR volunteering and group support manager, said: “We know that local groups and charities who we support have been impacted by the pandemic in lots of ways, including financially.

“We know how important external funding is for local groups, so we arranged the funding fair to bring together three of the region’s funding bodies to meet with groups directly.

“They explained what they can offer at the moment, and VAR staff were on hand to support groups through the application process.”
