Failed Flight Man Charged

FORMER landlord Lee Mills has been charged with fraud and theft over the failed flight to a Millers’ away match.

Mills (39) collected £16,500 from supporters before pulling the plug on the chartered plane to Plymouth Argyle in April.

More than 70 Rotherham United fans — who had paid up to £240 each — were left out of pocket.

A police spokeswoman confirmed: “We have now charged a man with theft and fraud offences in connection with a flight to take Rotherham United supporters to their last away game of the season.”

Mills, from Bury, Manchester, is due to attend Rotherham Magistrates’ Court on June 11.
