Ex-Mayor Lindsay Pitchley's "spot the signs" warning after suffering stroke
The Holderness ward councillor (pictured) was recovering this week after she suffered a stroke at the age of just 42, despite, she said, considering herself to be fit and healthy.

“I always considered myself to be fit — I eat healthily and look after myself, but I did not take notice of the signs.
“Please take a few minutes to be aware of the symptoms to look out for.”
Council leader Cllr Chris Read wished his Labour colleague well, saying: “I was very concerned to hear the news regarding Cllr Pitchley being taken ill.
“On behalf of everyone at Rotherham Borough Council, I would like to wish her best wishes for a speedy recovery.”
