Empty property torched in Mexborough

A VACANT property was set on fire in Mexborough last night (Wednesday). 

Two crews from Dearne station and one from Edlington were called to the building on Arnold Crescent at 10.40pm.

"The building was vacant at the time of the fire and it was started in a bedroom," said a spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue. 

"The crews left the site at midnight and the fire waas deliberate."
