Electric car surge fuels drive for more Rotherham charging points

ELECTRIC charging points run by Rotherham Council have been made free until March as part of a drive to encourage eco-friendly cars.

Locations include Drummond Street, the Wellgate multistorey, Clifton Park Museum, Rother Valley Country Park, Thrybergh Country Park and libraries at Wath, Aston and Rawmarsh.

Cllr Denise Lelliott, cabinet member for the local economy said: “The charging points are part of the council’s continued investment into our communities, and support our commitment to reduce emissions.”
