E-fit of man who attacked schoolgirl in Blackburn woods

A MAN who attacked a schoolgirl as she walked through woods is being hunted by police.

The 15-year-old was walking through Droppingwell Woods in Blackburn on Wednesday, July 19, when she said an unknown man approached her from behind.

The girl said the man grabbed her face and chest, leaving her with scratches, before she ran off and alerted police.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “Following extensive enquiries in the area, police have worked with the victim to produce an e-fit image of a man they would like to identify.

“If you recognise the man, or think you know who he might be, please call 101 quoting incident number 989 of July 19.”
