The raid is part of a day of action in Rotherham - dubed Operation Duxford - in which officers are carrying out high profile raids, searching for wanted people and carrying out traffic checks, among others activities.

Eighty police officers will take part in the operation and a public engagement event will take place this afternoon at Ferham Park, Kimberworth.

Chief Con Stephen Watson said: “Operation Duxford is about being visible and demonstrates that we are approachable people.

“It is co-ordinated activity that puts organised crime gangs to flight.

“It’s showing the public we really mean business on their behalf.”
