Duo admit burgling Rotherham shops

TWO men have admitted burgling a town centre charity shop and supermarket on the same night.

Anthony Jalam (32), of Mount Street, Thornhill, and Adam Clayton (29), of no fixed abode, both pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary at Sheffield Crown Court on Monday.

The men burgled Barnardo’s in Wellgate overnight on December 15, stealing a charity box, children’s clothing and toys.

The pair also targeted Polish supermarket Food Plus in All Saints’ Square, stealing bottles of spirits costing £175.

They were remanded in custody and will be sentenced on Monday.
