TWO drug dealers who attacked and killed a Masbrough man to “teach him a lesson” have been jailed today (Friday).

Nafees Hussain (20), of no fixed abode, and Kyle Greenwood (20), of Spa View Road, Sheffield, killed 39-year-old John Methley in an attack outside the Midland Hotel pub in Masbrough in February.

Hussain, who was convicted of murder, struck Mr Methley, of College Road, in the head with a golf club which he hid in his tracksuit trousers, while Greenwood, who was convicted of manslaughter, punched him five times and kicked him.

Hussain was jailed for life, with a minimum term of 19 years, and Greenwood (pictured, below) was jailed for 11 years at Sheffield Crown Court today.

Getaway drivers Adam Khan (20) and Hana Riaz (21) have been jailed for three years and 22 months respectively.

Khan and Riaz drove Hussain and Greenwood around Rotherham looking for Mr Methley on the day of the attack.

Mr Methley (pictured, below), a recovering heroin addict, never regained consciousness and died six days after the assault.

Sentencing, Judge Jeremy Richardson, QC, said: “He (Mr Methley) was saying adverse things about you, Greenwood, that you did not like.

“This plainly infuriated you and you set about teaching him a lesson.

“I have no doubt whatsoever that you intended to visit violence upon him.”
