Driver and passengers escape unharmed from burning car
THE driver and occupants of this burned out vehicle (pictured) managed to escape unharmed after an accidental electrical blaze broke out.
A fire crew from Maltby station attended Companies Close, Wickersley, at around 11.30am yesterday (Sunday) where the Peugeot hatchback was on fire. The crew was at the scene for 40 minutes.
Firefighter Gary Ridgeway tweeted a picture from the scene and said: "Despite our very best efforts at this car fire in Wickersley today, our Firefighter wearing Breathing Apparatus could not save this one, fortunately the driver and occupants were safe and unharmed."
