Driver (79) dies at Brecks after hitting car and lamppost
A 79-YEAR-old driver died after colliding with a car, mounting the central reservation and hitting a lamppost.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene after the 5.10pm incident on Friday (2).
Her silver Nissan Micra had been travelling along East Bawtry Road towards Brecks when it hit a brown Ford Focus.
Police said the Micra ended up in the opposite carriageway.

A spokeswoman said the woman’s family were receiving specialist support.
She added: “Enquiries are continuing and officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the moments prior to the collision, in particular the manner in which the Micra was being driven.
“If you have any information or dashcam footage that might help us, please contact 101 quoting incident number 688 of August 2.”
