Driver (38) injured in Doncaster Road crash

THIS is the aftermath of a two-car collision in which the occupants of one car fled and the other driver needed hospital treatment.

The collision between a black Audi A5 and a blue BMW happened last night (Thursday) on Doncaster Road near Hooton Roberts at 7.12pm 

The driver of the Audi, a 38-year-old man, was taken to hospital with injuries not thought to be life-threatening, said a spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police.

"It has been reported that a number of occupants in the BMW fled the scene," she added.

The road was closed for around two hours. 

Witnesses are urged to call police on 101, quoting incident number 800 of February 13.
