Driver (18) fighting for life after East Dene smash
A TEENAGE driver was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after apparently hitting a lamp-post.
Police were called to Doncaster Road at East Dene shortly after 5.15am today (Monday).
A spokeswoman said: “It is believed a blue Vauxhall Corsa collided with a lamppost.

Hide Ad“The driver, an 18-year-old man, was taken to Northern General Hospital by ambulance with life-threatening injuries.
“Officers are still on scene while they conduct their enquiries.”
Doncaster Road is closed in both directions between Foljambe Road and Oak Meadows, including the junction of Far Lane. Access is limited to Eastwood View.
